At eighty-two, it appears that I am the oldest pilot flying eSTOL at this time. I flew one competition in 2025, so I am still a newbie but learning fast. Because of its nice performance and stability, I have chosen to fly the American Scout (26” wheel) and will compete in the Backcountry class this season. My goal is to fly my plane to its maximum potential and to enjoy every second of it.
